On the first of March, following in our tradition, the school will celebrate our patron saint of Wales, St David’s Day.

The youngest children, who have now returned to school, will dress in the traditional Welsh costume and will taste some Welsh cakes in order to celebrate together.

For the elder pupils, who currently continue to learn remotely from home, a special assembly was arranged. Numerous unique messages from Welsh celebrities were received to celebrate the Welsh ethos and to share their own proudness of their ability to speak Welsh. Messages were received from every part of the world by stars such as Matthew Rhys, Yws Gwynedd, Gethin Jones and Jason Mohammad. Celebrities from the performing and acting scene, music, sport, presenting and journalism, with each and every one highlighting the importance of celebrating and taking advantage of our ability to speak the Welsh language.
