 Mental Wellbeing

By Mared, Lilwen, Gracie, Isla a Poppy

Our chosen topic for the BBC News Report is mental health and Bullying. Indeed, everybody has heard of these topics but unfortunately not many children and adults understand what they really mean and the effect they can have on millions of lives across the world. 1 in 10 children have a diagnosable mental health disorder – that’s roughly 3 children in every classroom and 1 in 5 young adults have a diagnosable mental health disorder. This is a very sensitive subject but we believe that, through creating this video it will raise awareness. Unfortunately just 0.7% of the NHS budget is spent on children’s mental health and only 16% of this is spent on early intervention.

We found many interesting facts as to why girls stop playing sports. We interviewed two female fitness trainers, who truly are an inspiration to us all.
