This dynamic and exciting subject raises the curtain on a whole range of experiences as pupils are encouraged to get to grips with creating, experimenting and being innovative. During KS3, the pupils venture into the world of theatre, film, television and digital gaming. They are invited to challenge and discover through practical and physical activities, devising, improvising, scripting and performing not only to live audiences but world-wide on our Drama department's website.  Our excellent extra-curricular activities including film and drama clubs, theatre visits, seminars, master classes, public performances and national and international competitions. We offer opportunities to study and critically evaluate a wide variety of genres from Pantomime and Soap Operas to Digital gaming and Crime drama.  Everybody enjoys our annual trip to the Pantomime and our London trips to the Westend shows.
We eagerly look forward to a time when we will be rehearsing and performing plays and musicals once again, past shows have included 'Les Miserables' and 'We Will Rock you' to name but a few.

“6th form drama lessons in Bro Morgannwg have been very inspirational for me over the years. By being a part of the school’s productions for example, the musicals and Christmas concerts, I have learnt new skills and had experiences that will stay with me forever. The Drama department offers many possibilities and experiences for us as 6th formers and this has been beneficial for me in many ways. The teachers have always been supportive and have made sure that we work to the best of our ability and for that I am very thankful. I have enjoyed being a part of the Drama department in Ysgol Y Fro and hope that future pupils have the same fulfilment that I did.”
