GCSE Results 2020

In light of the recent events we are extremely proud of our pupils in KS4 with their Summer 2020 results.

The results are slightly higher than the target set well over a year ago and closely reflect the pupil's expected attainment. The teachers have been very honest with their allocation of grades and these have been challenged by members of the Senior Management Team.

GCSE Results 2019

I wish to congratulate all pupils and staff of Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg on the excellent GCSE results announced today – these are the best results for several years.

Following an excellent set of A level results last week, it is with pleasure that I announce that 80% of pupils gained the Level 2+ (5 GCSEs including Welsh or English and Mathematics), an improvement of 12.6 % points since 2018. It is pleasing to note that 31.6% of the cohort (improvement of 1.2 percentage points) achieved 5 or more A* / A grades which included Mathematics and English or Welsh, whilst 87.1% of pupils gained 5 or more Level 2 qualifications (Improvement of 2.1 percentage points).

This is testimony to the endeavours of the departments and diligence of the pupils. We are extremely pleased that every pupil will leave the school this year with a qualification. Pupils of all abilities have succeeded and deserve to celebrate their success.

We look forward to welcoming them back to the Sixth Form to commence upon their A Level courses. Congratulations to you all!
