Entry Requirements:
Minimum of a B grade in English or Welsh. A general interest in politics and current affairs is beneficial but not necessary.
What is Politics?
The study of the activities associated with the governance of a country or area, especially the debate between parties having power.
What will I learn whilst studying Politics?
The course will allow students to develop a knowledge and understanding of contemporary political structures and issues within Wales and United Kingdom (UK); knowledge and understanding of broader global political structures and issues; knowledge and understanding of the influences and interests which have an impact on decisions in government and politics and an awareness of the changing nature of politics and the relationships between political ideas, institutions and processes.

• Unit 1: Government in Wales and the United Kingdom
• Unit 2: Living and participating in a democracy
• Unit 3: Political concepts and theories
• Unit 4: Government and politics of the USA
Possible Careers:
A politics degree opens doors to a broad range of careers, including political work, social and political research, journalism, HR and marketing.
